What is a panchang?
A panchang is the Hindu almanac — the five limbs of the day (tithi, vaara, nakshatra, yoga, karana) plus the festival and muhurta calendar derived from them. DevYatra computes it from astronomy, on your device.
Are these festival dates accurate?
Every date is computed with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and checked against a published New Delhi reference, with a confidence state shown on each date. We never scrape and never fabricate a date — and each page shows exactly how the date was resolved.
Why do dates differ from an Indian calendar?
Because tithis follow the moon, not midnight. Outside India a festival can land on a different calendar day; DevYatra computes each date in your city's own timezone instead of copying India's.
Is it free?
